NO FIXED ADDRESS by Robyn Davidson is a collection of two very short essays, sort of philosophical treaties on the subject of nomadism. The author examines different concepts on nomadism. The book is an attempt at explaining the reasons underlying the shift from nomadic way of living to a settled one, which she personally claims to be inevitable. Still she tries to prove that we could learn a lot from nomads, which could improve our civilized living.

I love her books. Certainly the film helped her fame a lot, because when I only saw the film, I knew I have to read the book. It was like a chain reaction. I felt like reading more. 'No Fixed Address' is the second position by Robyn Davidson that I had the pleasure to read. I do regret that there is such a scarcity of her writings in Polish bookstores. Still it was not easier to get the books in Australia. It is pretty much the same commercial crap everywhere you go. I dream about reading "Desert Places." Amazon is all I am left with. Guess I could not make myself a better present for my name day.
