I guess spring will settle for good now - it has been the second sunny day today. Who could expect it after the last totally unexpected Monday snowfall. For a change in the mountains winter came back and one has to wait still a bit longer for the violet crocus fields in the Tatra Mountains. Wish to see it - maybe this year, if I am lucky enough. If not, maybe next year. For the time being crocuses in my town and the once I have just planted in my own place have to suffice! Though this year I am very keen on turning my desert garden into a piece of paradise, so I am all the time tempted to buy all kinds of seeds and plants, andI still brainstorm if I have any other seeds hidden somewhere at home.
Wish me also good luck with the vegetable garden. I have already planted all the vegetable seeds - the lettuce seeds, for example, have already started to sprout and I cannot await the tomatoes, New Zealand spinach, basil and anise. Especially with the latter I am very curious what comes out of it - I do not really expect the very seeds, but the flowers… I wonder if they smell similar to the very spices.
Apart from that I have also planted some of the seeds collected in Australia - the bottle tree seeds, blue gum and some other species, which I cannot really tell what are they names. Finally, I have forgotten to buy any book about Australian plants, what would be difficult anyway if you would like to get a position that includes all of the Australian flora, so I have to rely on the photos and make my own research. I promise to share with you the photos of the plants that I have planted and if I am lucky enough to have my seeds sprout, I will surely inform you about this here.
