1. sadzenie żywokołów pod wierzbową aleję - gdyby nie ta aleja, pewnie jechałabym dalej, robi wrażenie, a jak się zazieleni, to już w ogóle będzie pięknie;
2. budowa "żywego" płotu na terenie zielonym we wsi Targowisko
- to zaledwie początek działań, które mają na celu zagospodarować zieloną przestrzeń sąsiadującą z autostradą A4;
3. budowa "żywego" mostu na rzece - wierzba nie zna przecież granic;
4. warsztaty z plecenia palm wielkanocnych poprawodzone przez Pana Zbigniewa Urbańskiego, twórcę najwyższych palm wielkanocnych z Lipnicy Murowanej;
5. wycieczka krajoznawcza do miasta Niepołomice;
6. budowa "żywego" placu zabaw na osiedlu mieszkaniowym w mieście Niepołomice - chyba najbardziej imponujące wydarzenie w trakcie tegorocznego pleneru, kiedy w przeciągu jednego dnia na gołej ziemi wyrósł wspaniały plac zabaw dla dzieci i nie tylko, bo dorośli wydawali się chyba najbardziej zachwyceni całym pomysłem, pozostaje jedynie czekać, aż na wiosnę wszystkie te wierzbowe konstrukcje się zazielenią, z pewnością ten zielony zakątek będzie oczkiem w głowie lokalnej społeczności, która już przy okazji budowy placu miała okazję się lepiej poznać, a z pewnością miejsce to będzie okazją do jeszcze niejednego niezapomnianego spotkania i wspólnych działań;
WILLOW without BORDERS is an open-air social event, which took place in the period 7-13 March in the village Targowisko near Kraków. This is not the first time that people from all over Poland arrive at this small village in order to explore the secrets of living architecture, experiment together, creating unique constructions that enrich local infrastructure. The originator and organizer of these activities is Jacek Gądek together with his partner Ania. Many of you probably ask themselves a question what is living architecture all about? Living architecture combines elements of garden art, crafts, architecture and design in which willow plays a crucial role. Living architecture was born from fascination with plaiting, one of the oldest crafts in the world, and weaving as an alternative to ready-made plastic products. Live tunnels, summerhouses, playground constructions are an alternative to their plastic, concrete or metal equivalents. In the first edition of this year's WILLOW without BORDERS the following events took place:
1. planting the willow avenue - if not for the avenue, I would probably drive on, it looked impressive from the road, and when it turns green in spring, it will be even more beautiful;
2. construction of "live" fence in the green area in the village Targowisko
- this is only the beginning of activities that aim to develop the green area adjacent to the A4 motorway;
3. construction of a "living" bridge on the river - after all, willow knows no borders;
4. workshop in weaving Easter palms conducted by Mr. Zbigniew Urbanski, creator of the highest (36 m 4 cm!) Easter palms from Lipnica Murowana;
5. sightseeing tour of the town Niepołomice;
6. construction of a "living" playground in a housing complex in the city of Niepołomice - perhaps the most impressive event during this year's WILLOW without BORDERS, when in just one day on the bare ground popped up a wonderful playground for children and not only, because adults seemed perhaps most enthusiastic about the idea, all that is left now is just to wait until springtime when all the willow structures will turn green, surely this green corner will be pride and joy of the local community, the very event of building various constructions in the area has already been an opportunity for the locals to get to know one another better, and certainly this place will be an opportunity for more unforgettable meetings and joint actions;
7. wickerwork workshops conducted by Ania, where one could learn that weaving a basket is not such a simple task, some managed to tame the capricious material and create not only useful objects, such as the basket mentioned, but also much more visionary constructions such as a fish trap or a hammock.
Huge thanks and admiration to the members of the senior club from Targowisko led by Mrs. Anna Wojtowicz for hospitality, care and kindness, to all the young people from the local junior high school for commitment and enthusiasm they put into all the events conducted within WILLOW without BORDERS, and to the local community of the housing complex in Niepołomice for nice reception, commitment to the work on the playground construction and all the happy smiles.
The next WILLOW without BORDERS at the end of July. For more information on the event WILLOW without BORDERS: https://www.facebook.com/events/1689077578001247/
