WALKABOUT
The section Walkabout includes photo relations from my trips to Scotland, Hutsul Ukraine, Germany, France and many others to come. Always coming back to my beloved mekka - Poland. When I was a child, I used to travel a lot to different parts of the world, but I was too young to fully appreciate this luxury. I do regret that I found family trips more of a nightmare than a chance to discover new lands, people and customs. At some point, during one of the organized trips to Egypt, I watched the Egyptian land passing by behind the bus window and started wondering what if to get off the bus and walk down one of the dirt roads, meet the people waving from the shore to me, one of thousands or millions of tourists sailing down the Nile each year. Organized trips, hotels and all that tourist crap became sort of a nightmare to me. One day I put an end to family trips to exotic countries and decided to discover, for a change, my own country - Poland! The regions of Suwalszczyna and Warmia remain one of my favorite places in the world and will remain one of the places I will keep on coming back to for ever. But what is more important I also came to the conclusion that I would like to combine travelling with my profession and passions. Not to travel on its own, but make my profession and passions means of travelling. I am mainly fascinated by the lands that are not top offer of travelling agencies. Especially, all the countries to the east from the Polish border. My dream is to travel around Mongolia with nomads, go with the Transiberian train as far as Lake Bajkal, travel across United States of America from East to West and explore other lands not yet explored or besieged by tourists! Meet Aboriginal people, get a taste of their everyday life and customs, discover unique sites! Here I would like to share some of this experience with you! Enjoy!
