Nic bardziej mylnego!
When a week ago I finally landed in Poland, I felt happiness. Paradoxically this happiness was not connected with the fact that I am back, but with the fact that I am finally free. Free to talk to whoever I want, smile when I want and behave how I want (I was unlucky not to get along well with my travel companion in Australia). I did not expect it to strike me that much. I guess this is the way you learn to appreciate things - by facing obstacles, limits and other nasty things. Already at the bus stop I met three girls from China carefully studying the bus schedule and spontaneously asked them where do they want to go. I do not know what happened to me, but I felt so engaged in chating with them as if I were some tourist guide or something. They appreciated it. Just as the Finnish girl whom I helped out on the bus with my mastercard. It turned out that it is not only in Australia that credit cards go on strike - justice has it that it can meet anybody anywhere in the world, especially if you are a tourist. Justice has it also that nothing gets lost in nature - just a day before a friend helped me out with his credit card as the machine refused to accept 50 dollar bill. I was happy to have a chance to pay it back. The reason for which I write about it is that I actually enjoyed best my time on the way back with foreigners while my Polish comrades seemed sort of grim and depressed. Indeed it was not sunny, the streets were wet and gloomy and it was very early in the morning, but the five of us, we seemed the most happy people in the world. During this short trip from the airport to the railway station I also felt like a foreigner in my own country - with the unusually heave rucksack, backpack and camera bag, hat, etc. I would actually be ready to go on another adventure. To my own surprise so easy did I take it all; though, I did not really have much to be happy about. I guess paradoxically I was just starting or rather continuing my adventure then - in a different space in a different time just as if something got suspended at some point in Australia. After all I experienced the same thing on my way there. When I look at it from a perspective I think that when we meet foreigners on our way, they always seem more cheerful, easy-going and relaxed to us than our own comrades. We probably think that they owe it to the fact of being born in some better place, maybe more beautiful, wealthier, with more perspectives. But I guess nothing could be more wrong. I guess it is just because they change skies. Meet new people, discover beautiful places, learn new ideas. The soul is the same - it is the soul of a vagabond. Happy the one that travels!

Hej! Mam na imię Victoria. Wycieczki Osobiste to mój dziennik podróży, spełnionych marzeń i ulotnego piękna. Podróżować można nawet w kropli wody. Dzisiaj jest tylko dzisiaj, więc nie trać czasu: "podróżyj" tak, jakby jutra miało nie być!
O mnie
Z wykształcenia tłumacz i montażysta filmowy. Z zawodu kameleon, a w praktyce przede wszystkim włóczykij z dziennikarskimi ciągotami. Niespokojny duch. Trudny charakter. Towarzyski samotnik. Poliglota, gaduła i gawędziarz. Niestrudzony ogrodnik. Z zamiłowania piszę, fotografuję i maluję. Uwielbiam podróże, aktywność na świeżym powietrzu i kontakt z naturą. Szukam szczęśliwych wysp. Wierzę, że jest przede mną jeszcze wiele do odkrycia! Oto moja bajka o życiu! WĄTKI
